Legal Info
National:
- HSLDA is a national legal defense & support organization which provides legal information and guidelines for all 50 states.
- We highly recommend becoming a member of the Home School Legal Defense Association which provides access to a homeschool attorney 24/7 and defends your right to homeschool, all the way to the Supreme Court – all for an annual fee comparable to what many attorneys charge per hour. They also provide direct answers to specific homeschooling questions via phone or email and a wealth of information on their website.
- Heritage Defense for unlawful CPS contact. This is a must since lots of homeschoolers are non-vaxxers too. It’s a very affordable way to protect a family. The family must be Christians though and not be doing foster care. They will not issue a membership to someone with a foster care license at ALL.
By state, indicating low to high regulation:
Umbrella Homeschools
States that allow for homeschooling in a group setting, including as a church
community aka “Umbrella School” or “Cover school”:
(See each state listing below for website resources.)
Why these are important: some parents are not equipped to educate their own children. These options provide a means for their children to receive Christian homeschooling.

We're Here For You
Scripture places the demand on parents to instruct their children, and to raise them in the nurture and admomition of the Lord, not be subject to the State's idea of education.
We know you're concerned about the the safety of your children and the future of America, and want to see God glorified.
This can feel like a scary process, but that’s why we’ve created a resource library for you, and are creating an on-line community of mentors and support. The resource library provides Christian homeschool support groups located in your state.
